What we offer:
At regular intervals throughout the year, we facilitate whole school, departmental and individual CPD sessions that support the whole school improvement plan and quality assurance feedback. The format of these vary from ‘expert’ speakers, sharing good practice sessions, small group workshops, non-judgemental observations/learning walks, shadow leadership, targeted action research programmes, coaching or mentoring.
QIS will be launching a new Leadership Network in 2021 for current and aspiring leaders, which will be run over the course of 6 months and involve in-school project-based research.
We can accredit NQT/ECT sign off and run a successful NQT/ECT programme available to all schools across Qatar throughout the year to support NQTs/ECTs through this process.
QIS is a ‘Designated OLEVI Centre of Excellence’ and hosts a range of programmes (both face to face and online) throughout the academic year. We currently offer in-school and external delegates the opportunity to engage with the Outstanding Teacher Programme (OTP), the Creative Teacher Programme(CTP), the Power of Coaching Programme (POC) and the Outstanding Leadership in Education Programme (OLE). www.olevi.com
QIS works in partnership with Real Training to offer NPQSL and NPQH accreditation, through face-to-face support sessions facilitated by experienced leaders at QIS. www/realtraining.co.uk
Joint Practice Development (JPD)
All staff in school are part of our JPD programme to facilitate progressive, personal development of teaching and learning. JPD provision aims to:
- Make space for professional trust, open and honesty
- Establish a shared understanding of an area for development and suggest how to address it
- Share the experience of trying out innovative practices
- Critically review progress and impact together as peers
