The primary goal of Arabic language program is to enable students to communicate effectively in the Arabic language, whether as a first language or as a second language. The Secondary School Arabic curriculum is following the learning standards provided by the Ministry of Education in Qatar for (Arabic as a first language), and Arabic as an additional language). Students in secondary are placed in language classes based on their mother tongue language as well as their level of language acquisition.

General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE and GCE) syllabuses are designed as a three–year course for examination.

Strengthen and reinforce the status of the Arabic language by supplying and nourishing creative, high standard and active learning possibilities for every student through caring and representing the Arabic language.

To prepare generations that become proficient in the Arabic language and acquire necessary research skills.

Our Basic Objectives

  1. To help expand and establish a sense of pride in the Arabic language.
  2. Enhance linguistic skills of students and their performance of the four basic language skills.
  3. Increase the level of students and teachers.
  4. Consider the link between the modern and ancient, with a comprehension of the linguistic and literary heritage of the ancestors; while exploring what modernists have made in the field of language.
  5. To gain benefit from re-reading the same heritage, but with a new vision.
  6. Respect for religious, national, and human values.

Subjects

Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education curriculum in the three compulsory subjects: Islamic Education, Arabic Language and Qatari History from Year 1 to Year 9, with Arabic and Qatar History continued until Year 12.

 

قسمُ اللّغةِ العربيّةِ

الرُّؤيَةُ:  

تعزيزُ دَوْرِ اللّغةِ العربيّةِ من خلالِ توفيرِ فُرَصِ تَعلُّمٍ مُبتَكَرةٍ وعاليةِ الجَوْدةِ ونَشِطةٍ لجميعِ الطّلبةِ، بخِدمَةِ اللّغةِ العربيّةِ والاعتِناءِ بِها؛ لِتَبقى حَيَّةً في نفوسِ النّاطقين بهوهويّةً يتميّزون بها، ولِتَظَلَّ وِعاءً لِلفِكرِ والعِلمِ والبحثِ.

الرِّسالَةُ:

-إعدادُ أَجيالٍ تُتقِنُ اللُغَةَ العَربيَّةَ، وتَمتَلِكُ مِن المهاراتِ البَحثِيَّةِ؛ ما يُمَكِّنُها مِن الإسهامِ الفاعِلِ في تَطويرِ المجتَمَعِ ومِن تَلبِيَةِ احتِياجاتِ سُوقِ العَمَلِ.

 أهدافُ القسمِ العامّةُ

– تَنمِيَةُ رُوحِ الاعتِزازِ بِاللُغَةِ العَرَبِيَّةِ.

– تَطويرُ مَهاراتِ الطّلبةِ اللُغَوِيَّةِ، في أداءِ المهاراتِ اللّغويّةِ الأساسيّةِ الأربعِ.

-الارتِقاءُ بِمُستَوى الطّلبة والمُدرّسين.

-توظيفُ التّكنولوجيا، وإستراتيجيّاتِ التّعلُّمِ النّشطِ في عمليّةِ التّعليمِ والتّعلُّمِ.

-الرَّبطُ الواعي بَينَ القَديمِ والحديثِ، بِفَهمِ التُّراثِ اللُغَوِيِّ والأَدَبِيِّ الذي خَلَّفَهُ لَنا القُدَماءُ، ثُمَّ الاطِّلاعِ على ما قَدَّمَهُ المحدَثونَ مِن إسهاماتٍ في مَجالَ اللُغَةِ لِلإفادَةِ مِنها في إعادَةِ قِراءَةِ تُراثِنا بِرُؤيَةٍ جَديدَةٍ. 

– احترامُ القِيَمِ الوطنيّةِ والدّينيّةِ والإنسانيّةِ.

الموادُّ الّتي يُدرّسُها القسمُ:

-منهاجُ وزارةِ التّعليمِ والتّعليمِ القطريّةِ في الموادِّ الإلزاميّةِ الثّلاث: اللّغةِ العربيّةِ، والتّربيةِ الإسلاميّةِ، والتّاريخِ القطريّ، من الصّفِّ الأوّلِ حتّى التّاسعِ.

-المنهاجُ البريطانيّ: من الصَّفِّ العاشرِ حتّى الصَّفِّ الثّالثِ عشرَ، ويُقسمُ إلى:
